Re-organisation Of China's Armies
FOUR "DEFENCE SPHERES" CREATED
Leaders
Appointed
Canton, October 13. " The unification of China, now being an accomplished fact, the Central Government and its advisers of the Military Affairs Department are busily occupied re-organising the army and de- fence forces of the whole country.
Owing to the dangers of the present political situation, Marshal Chiang Kai-shek and his generals, realizing the urgency of a thorough re-organisation of the armies of defence, have de- cided to divide the "country, into four big defence spheres without any further delay.
General Chang Hok-Hang has been designated for the first mill- tary defence sphere, and will have his headquarters at Sian ini Shensi province.
General Feng Yu-hsiang will be. placed in charge of the second military defence sphere, and will have his headquarters in Peiping.
General Pel Chung-hsi will be placed in charge of the third mill- tary defence sphere, with his head-
quarters in Nanking, and General, Chung-hs in charge of the third Hau Shung-cht will be placed in charge of the fourth military de- fence sphere, with his headquar- ters in Canton.
Such is the scheme of "army re-organisation as planned by Marshal Chiang Kai-shek, and it is said that it has already received the full approval of Generals Li Tsung-jen and Pel Chung-hsi.
military defence sphere is evident proof of Marshal Chiang Kai-shek's patriotism and far-sightedness and this appreciation of General Fel Chung-hat's abilities.
It is gathered from reliable sources that General Pei Chung- hal will By to Nanking as soon as he has finished with his duties in Kwangsi Province.-
