Young Girl Complainant On Serious Charge

Fusiller WuHara Clifford Morgan," of the Royal Welch Fusiliers." was charged yesterday at the Kowloon Magistracy before Mẹ, Q. "A. A. Macfadyen, for the rape of Li Fuk Lia, 18, of 35, Fa Yuen Street, first floor. Defendant was committed for trial.

Mr. G. S. Ford appeared for the defendant, and Insp. W. R. Chester Woods prosecuted.

Dr. Ng, of the Kowloon Hospital, was the first witness called, and he said that he examined the girl. She had been interfered with recently, witness opined.

Mr. Ford: Did you examine her thoroughly?—Yes.

Were there any bruises Or scratches on her back?--No.

Insp, Chester Woods: Did you examine her back?-No.

In the witness box. the com- plainant said that she was in the habit of bathing daily at Lai Chi Kok beach. She met the defen- dant there about a week before she was assaulted, when he want- ed to teach her how to swim, H

After that first meeting they saw each other dally at the beach..

WENT TO CINEMA

One evening, he asked her to attend the show at the Alhambra. and, before entering the theatre, they deposited a basket at a near- by tea house.
