week opened with, brisk trading in local sharea, but the Manila market became easier over Tuesday and Wednesday and this declining tendency coupled with rumours of Sino-Japanese trouble 23 in Shanghai brought out a few sellers on Friday so that "closing quotations of both mining shares and local descriptions are in some cases slightly below last week's best. However, an all round tan- provement subsequently set "in on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning and the end-week clate Is again very firm, with confidence fully restored. China Lights are below best at $15.25 after large transactions
