Just before the arrival of the ship at Canton, the defendant was searched, and, the pawn tickets, with a large sum of Swatow mones was found on him. It was found later, that defendant had changed the Hong Kong and Canton money to Swatow currency on board.
The authorities in Cantor. re- fused to take up the case, and de- fendant was brought back to Hong Kong.
