Showing greatly improved form. the Hong Kong interpart lawn bowlers defeated Shanghal by twenty shots to thirteen, on the Rees green, on. September 14 to win the third and final match. The Colony four were- A. Alves (skip), A. Hyde-Lay (No. 31, F. V. V. Ribeiro (No. 2) and P. E. Knight (lead). Shanghai were represented by-G, V. Jensen (skip) J. P. de Campos (No. 3), H. G: Howard, (No. 2) and W. T. Manley (lead). R. A. Alves, the Hong Kong ship was the hero of the match, playing, inspired bawls. He was easily the best man on the green, and he was ably supported by F. V. V. Ribeiro and A. lyde-Lay. The Shanghai four were in poor form.
The Interport dinner was held at the Shanghai Club the same night, Mr. W. A. Turnbull, Presi- dent of the Shanghai Lawn Bowls Association. being in the chalt. and some fifty odd bowlers pre- sent. The trophies won during the season and the "Prentice" Cup were presented. During the evening some excellent Alm of local bowling were shown by Mr. E. Hodgson and there was an en- joyable musical programme.
