(BY LONGSHOREMAN). The freight returns, received from the Harbour Office, during the 24 hours ended at 9.00 a.m. yesterday. showed a fairly high tonnage movement. a large pro- portion or which being made up by Japanese ships.

The tocal tonnage of general cargo carried by vessels to the Colony was 8,190 tons, with British steamers carrying 2.185 toris.

Through caryo for ports be- Fond the Calony amounted to 33,254 tons of which 6,778 tons were carried by British steamers

Asiatic deck passengers entering into the Colony during the 24 hours ended at 9.00 am, yesterday 1,615, of which 978 were From British steamers.
