That King Edward I., Chaucer and Shakespeare criticised the Jews was a statement made by a defendant at Bowstreet recently wher seditious libel was alleged against two persons.
Mr. Dümmett the Magistrate. said that Mr. Leese was charged with that he, being the proprietor did unlawfully of the "Fascist," publish a seditious libel concerning the Jewish people and his Majesty's subjects of the Jewish faith.

Both men were committed for trial at the Central Criminal Court, call being allowed.
Referring to the first summons, Mr. Eustace Fulton, for the Direç tor of Public Prosecutions. said that the essence of the offence was the alleged publication of defamatory matter in regard to a body of persons.
