"Bulldog Jack" showing at the Majestic Theatre, is gay, thrill- Ing adventure. It is real enter- tainment; a. melodramatic comedy extravaganza. The Bulldog Drum- mond content is gloriously guyed by both Jack and Claude Hulbert. The spirit of burlesque 's finely preserved throughout and there are many spectacular stunts.

There are many points of appeal in "Buldog Jack": bright story, big thrills. big laughs, spirited action and great team work by the Hul- bert Brothers. The whole produc- tion maintains a high, hilarioua level ending in a crescendo of riotous laughs. The tussels be tween Buldog Jack and Morelle, the villain, have excellent back ground in the Underground and British Museum. The biggest "thrill of all, however, is staged in

the runaway train, where the Issue 13 finally settled amidst tremendous excitement and great fun. The romance is suppled by Fay Wray.

"KLONDIKE ANNIE"

When Edward Everett Horton starts to croon anything is like- Iy to happen, and that is more or less the theme of "Her Master's Voice" the subtle und screarningly humours feature film at the Queen's and Alhambra Theatres.

The company of good com- panions. in this production is greatly enhanced by the liberalty of the story which encompasses police encounters, radio experi elices. domestic upheavals and

bed-room scenes.

Of the outstanding performers In this brilliant cast, Laura Hope Crews as Aunt. Min, and Elizabeth Patterson as Mrs:" "Martin show just what finished artists can do in the realm of quick are comedy, Hor- tan is provided with an excellent roll in the person, of pretty Peggy Conklin who as Queena Farrar helps to get her crooning soul- mate into and out of trouble.

Then, of course, there is Grant Mitchell, another justly famous artist of the genuinely humours character, as Twiling, the sorely perplexed boss who is always on the trail of somebody. However the inimitable Grant Mitchell plays superbly.

Add to all the laughs which "Her Master's Volce" inspires, the myriad thrills contained if the sound film which depicts the famous Max Schmeling versus Joe Louis fight and you have a bill-of-fare" cal- culated to satisfy the palate of the most exacting epicure.

In this famous fight Alm all the features of a well-matched heavy weight contest are clearly and dramatically depicted. It is good. robust entertainment with a spice of variety.
