LACE IS IN AGAIN
The girl who has to keep a firm hand on her clothes budget will welcome the news that lace is in again. For lace not only can be used in many ways to impart soft feminity, but it also can be worn for many different kinds of oc- casions; and because it does not crumple it always looks fresh and delightful.
Here are some of the ways in which lace can be used' to 'great advantage. There are sammer hats of tulle-shady, very flattering to the face, and both suitable and charming with a silk afternoru... dress or for dinner in town. And a ince blouse will turn a "sen. demi suit into a garden party or cocktail outfit!
Lace is appearing again on lingerie too. Every girl should have at least one set of lace-trimmed "underneaths" to take away for those week-end visits when she wants to look and feel her best.
Perhaps most useful of all is the black lace dress. It tucks away unobtrusively into a corner of the

New alliances of colour are im- portant.. Turquoise blue combined with a rich, dark leaf-green, both for besch and for evening: bur. gundy piped with gentian` blue; sapphire blue with bright grass. Or Irish green; and shades of real "old rose." All these are smart.
