INSURING AGAINST MARRIAGE OF THE KING
(Special Ale Mall Service)
London, July 1. Requests for Insurance against the lexitimate trade risks arising out of the Coronation are coming into Lloyd's from Arms in many parts of the country.
Efforts to insure against the King
before the Coronation have been so numerous Sid that the rates to cover this par- cular risk have doubled during the past few days.
Whereas a few days ago one in- surance is believed to have been taken out at 9 gutaeas per, cent, the rate is now said to be nearer 20 gufticas per cent.
PRAYER BOOK RISKS
Printers of prayer books have also taken out substantial In- surances against the risks of the " King's marriage.
New prayer books, containing the prayer for King Edward in place of King George, have been held back for some time in case it should become necessary to in- bude prayers for a new Queen.
Further
been
delay has, however, considered inadvisable. Hence insurance against the risk of losses on prayer-booku which might have to be scrapped if the King marries at an early date."
