The freight returns, received from the Harbour Ofce during the 24 hours ended at 9.00 a.m. yesterday, showed

The total tonnage of "general cargo carried by vessels to the Colony Was 9,993 tons, with British steamers carrying 3,464 | .

Through cargo for parts be- yond, the Colony amounted to 14,989 tons, of which only 587 were carr.ed by Brish steamers.

the Colony during the 24 10:0 hours ended at 9.00 am. yesterday were 399, of which only 83 were from British steamers.
