A raid by the Revenue Depart- ment on unnumbered hut a Hemuntin. when A quantity Of dutiable spir.t was unearthed and a still was discovered. was related at the Kowloon Magistracy yester- day when Revenue Officer W. V. Ahern prosecuted two unemployed men, and a widow before Mr. E. Himsworth.

The accused, Ng Sang "Fat, 30, Ng Wah Chl, 31, and Kong Fung. 50, widow. faced charges at possession of dullable sprit, un- lawful distilling of spirits, Posses- sion of fermenting material, and possession of a still.

R. O. Ahern said that there was fermenting material enough for "about 30 gallons while the, still could manufacture two gallons an hour. A lot of this Allcit work was going on.

The rald was carried out, said R. O. Ahern at 6 am., on June 2. A quanuty of hot spirit was found and a complete still Ng Sang. the first accused was found out side the hut and claimed that he had come from a shop in Mong- kok. He denied all knowledge of the contents of the hub.
