More women are having their eats pierced. Once it was a fashion for middle age and later in life. Now debutantes and young married hostesses, are adopting it, accord- ing to Mr. C. R. Wilkinson, the spe- cialist, writes a correspondent. He is plercing the ears of 100 women every month.
"Women want to wear large pearl eerringe," he told me. "They are afraid of losing them if they are screwed on. The new clip-on varie- ty are supposed to do away with piercing. They encase the lobe of the ear in metal, but even they are not secure and are having to be Atted with plas for pierced. ears."
