AFFAIRS
Children To Have More Use Of Bath
A pessimistic note regarding the prospects for this season was struck by AIr. E. F: Selk who presided at the annual meeting of the Y.M.C.A. Swim- ming Section which was held in the West Lounge."at Salisbury Road. Kowloon yesterday,
Reference was made to the 'de-, parture of several outstanding, per- formers of past seasons. and the impending departure of stul others. and this fact greatly contributed to the weakened position of the swim- ming section.
The prospects of a strong sw..- ming season this year, were 'de'ns cidedly weak, explained the chair man. With this in view; the Direc- tors of the .M.C.A: had decided to form a Junior Section permitting children of both sexes between the i ages of 13 and 17 as members. Ry this means it is hoped that fu- ture "stars" would be recruited early on and trained in their res- pective talents.
