More than 300 volunteers and guests thronged the Volunteer Headquarters last night when, in the presence of His Excellency the Governor, Sir Andrew Caldecott, and many distinguished guests, prizes wou during the year were presented at the annual supper.
A successful year's work was reported by Lieut.- Col. H. B. L. Dowbiggin, Corps Commandant, who presided.

COMMANDANT'S REVIEW
Lt. Col. Dowbiggin said: The Cotps again has had a very busy year. Over 350 recruits have been enrolled and with the wastage uf transfers to other parts and five resignations, our strength is 180 more than last year. The average attendance at parades continues to improve and there were remarkably Te meficients.
The awarding of the Eichey Cup was no easy matter and I have to congratulate the newly formed No. 3 Company under Lieut. A Urquhart on winning the trophy .so soon after its formation.
I have also to congratulate and express my appreciation af the members of the Corps Syn- dicate who did so well in the Kirkpatrick Cup for 1935.
They gave up mar.y hours of their spare time to produce a re- port which received well deserved commendation from the 0.0.C. and earned the distinction of being bracketed Arst.

I desire now to express our deep appreciation to all those regular officer who have helped us, to say how glad we are to see many of them with us to- night, and how much we regret» that General Bartholomew is unable to be with us as he is on tour.
A glance round this hall will show you how cramped we are up here in these Headquarters. Only a fraction of the Corps can be ac- commodated and many have to be shut out Irom a function such as this. It is our earnest hope that prosperity will not be unduly de- layed, so that we can enjoyed the headquarters amenities which, combining with increased eficiency, could form a good club, the need of which is much required particularly by the younger gen- eration and making a mutual meet- ing place for all ranks. in the Corps.

I shall have great pleasure in Lieut-General Bor- conveying to rett your kind remarks.
