The Inter-School Sports was held yesterday afternoon, at the S.C.A.A. Stadium, Caroline Hill, and a very large gathering of schoolboys and visitors were present to witness the events contested for by the boys Irom the different schools and cal- leges:
d: all the ten schools participat- ing, the St. Joseph's College was the most successful, and won the Governor's Shield with an aggre- gate of 45 points, Wah Yan Col- second, with 18 lege came in points, while the third place was carried by the La Salle College with 16 points,

this last week, the culminating test being reached to-day when he entered the final of the Bri- tish Hardcourt Championships at Bournemouth after defeating A. C. Stedman, the New Zealander in three straight sets.
Perry, playing well within him- self, won very comfortably. 8-3, 6-2, 6-3.
H. W. Austin, who quallied once again to meet Perry in this cham- pionship Anal, dropped a set to
H. G. N. Lee. It was a bard fought second set of twelve games, but. Austin won the other three with the loss of but four games, The scores were 6-1, 5-7, 8-2, 6-1.
There were plenty of upsets in she ladies championship to-day. Biggest was straight sets defeat of Miss Dorothy Round by Mrs. R. R. King. the ex-Wimbledon title -nolder winning but six games all told. Mrs. King took the first set at 6-4 and the second at 6-2.
