WATERFRONT
Freight And Asiatic Passengers Returns
'(BY LONGSHOREMAN). During the 24 hours ended at 9am. yesterday, the freight re- turns, received from the Harbour Office showed a moderate tonnage
movement.
The total tonnage of geners,
vessels to the cargo carried by Colony was 9,641 tons, with British steamers carrying 7298 tons.
Through cargo for ports be- rond the Colony amounted to 11.899 tons, of which 7,953 tona were carried by British steamers.
Aslatic deck passengers entering Into the Colony during the 24 hours ended at 9.00 am yesterday were 1,221, of which 212 were from British steamers.
There were altogether thirteen. arrivals. of which seven were of British registry, the remainder being of other nationalities, while of the 20 departures, nine were British ships, the rest being of other different countries. Part- culars as follows:-
