Paris, April 25, The Abyssinian Government's technical adviser on air questions, the French aviator Drouillet, creat- ed general amusement here on Saturday by a successful trick which was played on the French Air Police.
On the Abyssinian Government's behalf, Drouillet had purchased an aeroplane in the United States which Was duly shipped to 3 French port whence Drouillet flew the machine to the Villacoublay aerodrome near Paris where the authorities attached it under the pretext that it had been illegally imported into France.
At the aviator'e request the au- thorities, however, agreed to place the machine at his disposal for a trial fight" pending the decision of the courts to which Drouillet Had appealed against the attach- ment. The airman thereupon took the plane out on Saturday for the "trial fight" in question, but he falled to return.
