Freight And Asiatic Passengers Returns
(BY LONGSHOREMAN)
The freight returns. received from the Harbour Office "during ine 24 hours ended at 9.00 am. yesterday showed a moderate ton- nage movement.
The total tonnage of general
cargo carried by vessels to the Colony was 6.178 tons, with British steamers carrying 3,198 tons
Through cargo for ports be- road the Colony amounted to 14847 tons, of which 5,296 tons were carried by British steamcra.
Asiatic deck passengers entering into the Colony during the 24 hours ended at 9.00 am. yesterday were 603, of which 592 were from British steamers.
