"Freight And Asiatic Passengers Returns

(BY LONGSHOREMAN) The freight returns, received from the Harbour Office during the 24 hours ended at 9.00 am. yesterday, showed & moderately high" tonnage movement, a large proportion of which being contri. buted by British shipe

The total tonnage of general cargo carried by vessels to the Colony was 10.124 tona with British steamers carrying 5,979 tons.

Through cargo for porta be- yond the Colony amounted to 25,982 tons, of which 9,388 tans were carried British steamers.

Asiatic deck passengers entering Into the Colony during the 24 hours ended at 9.00 a.m. yesterday were 2,485, of which 1,142 were from British steamers.

There were altogether 22 ar rivals, of which, nine were of being of other nationalities, while British registry, the remainder
