President Stanley Bruce pro posed an adjournment in con- sideration of the resolution which he thought was desirable in view of the welcome to discuss at the secret session, Germany's reply to the Council's Invitation to attend. He announced that a telegram had been sent to the German Govern- ment, which stated that German. would "participate in the examina- tion by the Council of the ques- Lion submitted by the Belgian and the French Governments, on the game terms as the representatives of the other guaranteed powers, whose situation under the treaty is the same as that of Germany-House, 8.30 p.m. this is with full rights of discus- slon, the votes of the three powers not being counted in calculating
unanimity."
The telegram adds in regard to the second question raised by Ger- many that is the early discussion of the German proposals as an in- tegral part of her recent action- it is not for the Council to give to the German Government the assurances it desires.
if
The Council then adjourned till three thirty tomorrow, when the general discussion will open on the Franco-Belgian resolution. It is evident there would be a welcome for the German representative, it by that time the German Govern- ment has "decided to accept the Council's invitation. Falling that. any further communication from the German Government, will come under consideration--" British Wireless,
