That Italy will unswervingly pursue her alms in East Africa until final victory is achieved, was the substance of the decisions taken by the Grand Fascist Council in the course of the meeting on Tuesday night, which lasted until the early hours of Thurs- day. According to the official communique, B Dace continued his report on the military and political situation and the Coan- cil subsequently adopted the following resolution:

"After examining the political events of last December, the Grand Fascist Council found that its attitude, which had been largely determined by the temporary reserve towards the Franco- British Peace Plan, has been fully justified. The Council con- siders the recent victories of the Italian troops on the Eritrean and Somaliland fronts to constitute decisive factors in the pre- sent situation. The Council, therefore reiterates its decision to attain those aims for whieh military efforts have been under. taken. It is convinced that this spirit conforms with the spirit of the troops fighting at the front as well as to the wishes of the Italian people.”
