Sir Alexande Swan, who con- cludes his term as Lord Provost of Glasgow in November, and Lady Swan were entertained at luncheon by the Corporation in the City Chambers yesterday, when two portraits of him (painted by James Gunn) were unvelled by Treasurer P. J. Dollan. A civic reception was held in the City Chambers in the evening.
