TALKED FOR TWO DAYS
At once a magnificent spectacle Screen Stars Over Enthusiastic and superb entertainment, “Car- dinal Richelleu," to the King's Theatre to-day, surpasses "The House of Rothschild,” the earlier triumph of producer Darryl Zanuck and his star, George Arliss. Based on the famous play by Sir Edward Bulwar-Lytton, Cameron Rogers and Maude Howell's screen play shows us the human side of the prelate who stood behind the throne of France.
The story opens with the feudal lords plotting against Richelieu because he has persuaded the weak ruler, Louis XIII., to issue a decree confiscating their lands
