"YOU must
strengthen your nerves
with SANATOGEN"
"Revitalize your nerves by taking Sanatogen." That is what your doctor will advise you, when list- lessness, lack of appetite, or fretful sleep are robbing you of your health and joy of life.
For physicians know that all these complaints have their roots in one and the same cause: weakness of the nerves. And it is only by strengthening your nerves, that you can regain your former health and vitality.
Strengthen your nerves with Sanatogen the true tonic-food. Sanatogen contains the very elements that build bodily health and vital strength-phosphorus and proteid. Sanatogen will make you feel stronger, healthier and consequently happier-even after a short course.
"I never hesitate to recommend Sanatogen to my palienta in case of nervous andhaustion, and it gives very beneficial results. I do not obtain such results with the usual, tonics,"
writes a well-known English physician, Over 25,000 physicians have given Sanatogen similar enthus- iakic recommendations, because Sanatogen must do good. Start taking it to-day, then you will soon enjoy once again the feeling of radiant vitality and strength, that makes lite worth living

GERMAN SCHOOL
CALENDAR
*Sliding Six-Day Week"
(Special Air Mali Service)
London, Sept 25. German children when they re- turn to school after the autumn holidays will have to adjust them- selves to a new calendar, which has been evolved by the Minister of Education, Dr. Rüst, together with dufcul.les created by the Introduction of political education under the aegis of the Hitler Youth Movement.
The claims of the Hitler Youth on the time and energles of the children were for a long time a sor point with parents and Chur- ches, and indeed still are, for an arrangement whereby the Youth Movement's activities were to be restricted to the Saturday, leaving Sunday free for home and Church. appears not always to have been strictly observed. In
any CASE
the arrangement cut Into the school week, which is spread over six days, and gave rise to instructional difficulties, as who- lars belonging to the party youth organizations miss
given on Saturday.
the lessons
The Minister has now decided that in future there will be no or - dinary lessons on Saturday, but that it will be compulsory on all children, whether members of the Hitler Jugend and Jungvolk or- ganizations or not, to receive na- tional-political training on that day. The question then arises whether in the intermediate and high schools the remaining Ave days are sufficient for the normal educational curriculum to be car- ried through. The Minister rejects the idea of spreading the hours lost on Saturday over the other five days on the ground that the child will be over-burdened.
Не
is also, for technical reasons. against dividing up the school day into more but anorter periods. In the result he has decided to intro- duce a silding six-day, weck" which leaves out Saturday and Bunday for ordinary school educa- tion, If the first week begins ob a. Monday the next will begin on a Tuesday, and so on. The school year of 40 calendar weeks will therefore consist of 33. weeks of ordinary Instruction and, adding up the Saturdays, seven weeks of political education.
The Minister explains that n silding week will enable. a time- table to be maintained whien ob- serve a proper proportion be- tween the various subjects. It may s'll be objected that inroads are being made into time which has hitherto been devoted to ordinary. educational purposes, but the Min- ister's attitude is that the political education will deal with many pro- blems hitherto treated in the or dinary classroom, and thus relieve the school curriculum. In any case, it is asserted. national-poli- tical education is of the greatest importance for the welfarse of the younger generation.
