The British Government is en- deavouring to ascertain the stand- point of France in the event of an
Anglo-Italian war, according to the Lordon correspondent of the "Figaro," who states that the British Embassy in Paris handed in a note to Quai d'Orsay asking the French Government to define its attitude in case of an unpro- voked attack on England in the Mediterranean.
The British Admiralty, according tu the correspondent, is anxious to know whether in such a case it could count on the French feet for support, and would be authorised to make use of French naval bases. -Transocean Kuo Min.
