survey
The report should indicate the routes which are likely to be served, the main and the secondary porta of call the prospects of night tying and the probable consequent need of route and airport lighting. Some decision will then have to be taken as to the places at which aerodromes ara necessary or desir- able and the steps which must be taken to provide them. Up to the present it has been the policy of the Government to rely on munici pal enterprise, assisted by grants from Government funds. The con- stitution of the new committee suggests that financial as well as technical matters will come within its scope and that an attempt will be made to provide on a national basis for the air lines which may be expected to be organized within the next few years.
