London, Aug. 21. Macleod of Macleod, 27th chief of his clan, who is lying seriously I in his ancestral home. Dun- vegan Castle, in Skye, is now in his, 88th year.

There is a tragedy in his famby: It is associated with the Fairy Flag, which bangs on a wall of Dunvegan Castle to-day.

The flag was credited With magic properties, When unfurled magnified the Macleods seven times in the sight of their en- emies. But the magic was ümited. The flag could be unfur- led only three times.
