It is anticipated that Signor Mussolini will pay a lightning visit to Italian Somaliland and Eritrea 'at the end of August by aeroplane and address the troops before going into battle.

S. Dollars which hitherto only checked, the depreciation of the dollar will now probably make itself more apparent by causing a slight decline in sterling.
Well-informed people, therefore, will not be surprised to see British Control resume its seasonal role by supporting sterling. unless a new gold block scare develops. There is no doubt the Control has increased its gold holdings enormously, some even suggesting that, the seventy million sterling excess in gold im- ports over exports during the current year has gone, to swell the Control's resources. Furthermore the Control ls believed to have a large amount ear-marked with the Bank of France so that in the event of any seasonal pressure.
