Sir Atholl MacGregor and the Hon. Dr. S. W: T'so were guests of honour at a dinner given by the Chinese Company of the Police reservists at the Hong Kong Hotel last night, which was largely attended.
Mr. D. L. King. District Superintendent of the Police Reserves, was in the chair, and in enumerating the good qualities of both -Sir Atholl and Dr. T'so he said that it gave him great pleasure to present them with mementoes of the auspicious occasion in the form of gold medals of the Police Reservists, which were grac- lously received amid lend applansé.
His Excellency the Officer administering the Government, Sir Thomas Southorn, honoured the gathering with his presence, and before presenting the awards gained during the past year, pald-x glowing tribute to the excellent work of the Chinese Company and to Police Reservists as a whole, which he maid was a credit to the commanity.
A toast to His Majesty King George and to the Chinese Re publle were proposed by Mr. King, before he made his opening address.
