POLICE SURPRISE RECREIO

Craigengower Registers Three Victories

The lenders of the Senior Division suffered their first set back on Saturday when they lost to the Police by a margin of only two shots despite the valliant efforts, made by C. G. Silva's rink to stem the tide. Thanks to Shepherd and his men. the - Policemen were able to provide the sensation of the day.

Craigengower "A" did not have matters all their way in their encounter against the C.S.C.C. At one time they were lo fact down but the brilliant efforts of U. M. Omar and his men, with the win by Bradbury' four enabled them to obtain the two points. Their "B" team too was 'victorious to the tune of 34 shots, while a runaway victory was scored by their team in the "Junior division. By beating 1. Purvis' rink by 32 shots, W. Ward's Craigengower four (W. English. W. Atkins and W. Phelps) created a new record for Second Division rinks this season. Cavanagh was another skip" whose rink won by a large margin. defeting J. McKelvie's rink by 25 shots. 6ixes were registered by rinks skipped by G. E. F. Thompson, A. Brooksbank, and W. Ward

The CR.C. is at present playing s well as could be expected and under the circumstances they Sught to pull the, game round. Unless the Rumjahn cousins split up their partnership there is just Ukelihood of their being able to stem the Chinese attack
