London, May 25, gold crown plece which was struck by the Royal Mint in commemoration of the King's Silver Jubilee at the price of £50 is already worth £2000.
An offer of this amount for one of them is made to-day.
The issue of the Jubilee gold crowns was limited to 25, and more than 1000 applications were re- ceived.
It was announced that if the op- plications exceeded the number of crowria offered allotment would be made by ballot. The draw took place last week.
M.P's QUESTION. On May 13, Sir William Davison. M.P asked the Home Secretary in the House of Commons whether. in view of the provisions of the Betting and Lotteries Act, the Home Office proposed to take any action to stop the draw.
