The texture of the Rattenbury trial, better known as the Mallet Murder Case, at the Old Bailey | to-day. was the statement made by Stoner's counsel whe said that Stoner bad admitted he had struck the blow, but denied he was re- sponsible when he did so. owing to the effects of cocaine. Counsel. asked for a verdict of "Guilty but Insane," with the alternative' ver- diet of "Manslaughter."
