Thus remarked Mr. Wynne-Jones at Kowloon Magistracy, yesterday to Ko Yut Pak, aged 50, a school mistress, who was summoned for assaulting a boy named Wang Hop, aged 10, at No. 74. Portland Street, Arst floor, on Monday.
Detective-Sergeant Frankia ap- peared for the prosecution and Wong Sum, aged 40, a coolle, ap- peared as complainant.
"In admitting the charge delen- dant stated that the boy was a pupil at her school, and he was punished for fighting with an- other pupil.
His Worship.said that when the child was brought to him, he examined him and found about 20 'weals on his back: they were not all in one part of the body: he had obviously been struck wildly.

The first three defendants, Chan Tung, Wong Wong, and Chan Wo of Holt's Whart were represented by Mr. F. H. Kwok of Messrs. Johnson Stokes and Masters while the other three Hung Yau, Ng Hop and Ng Shing were not legally re- presented.

Giving a brief resume of the case, Sub-Inspector L. Whant said that on the morning of April 13. about 8 o'clock, about 133 coolles from Kowicen Godowns were sent to Holt's Wharf to take de livery of some soda ash. Trouble started when one of their coolies took a truck for that purpose and a Holt's Whart cooile did not allow him to do so. A squabble ensued which was joined by others. Six of the combatants were sub- sequently treated "at hospital and subsequently charged with disor derly conduct.
