CHAMPIONS TO PLAY

THE REST

.:

Finale To Football Season

(BY "PIVOT") "

The soccer season will practically be at an end after to-day when the Champlons of the first and second divisions, will try con- clusions with teams chosen to represent the "Rest" of the Lesrus. With the exception of the "Kotewall Cup" and several unplayed matches in the senior division, aljs major`and, league competitions have been completed.

ין

The match between the Champions (South China "A") and the "Rest” at the Club ground wůli provide a ‘grand Anale to the season. South China is fielding their strongest eleven. On paper at least, the team takes a lot of beating. They have one of the strongest attack and defensive forces In the Colony and in Tam Kong Pak they have an all-round player who once again should be in the Hmelight in to-day's game.

The "Rest" team is quite a re- presentative one but surely there la room for improvement axlesë it be that the "Kotewall Cup" has prevented several of the Army players from participating. For instance I would rather see Row- tands, in goal instead of Rodger.

Rowlands by bla recent display's has shown himself to be a keeper of a high calibre and can, always be depended upon to "đơ his best in any emergency. Why they should have chosen. Moss instead of Ridley is beyond my compre- hension unless it be for the above mentioned reason. -,

The "Rest" is quite capable of giving the Champions a good game and the match should provide the fans with an excellent exhibition of football.

KOTEWALL CUP

Army and Navy are playing in the third game of the "Kotewall Our to-morrow. Both teams are at full strength and though the Army looks good on form the Navy Tads are quite capable of up- setting all calculations.

The Navy's best served in the defence. In Moss they have a stubborn and clever *gbstacle. Their forwards are not so impres- sive collectively but at individual play they are a fonnidable lot.

Army's team is composed mostly of players Iron Lincolns and E/Lancs: If form is any, criterion then, the Navy had better, be care- fut for once. on, the move nothing will stop Ridley and Co. A good. game is expected, with the chances evenly divided.
