JACKIE COOGAN ESCAPES
Four Including His Father Killed
San Diego. May 5: A distressing motor accident befell Jackie Coogan. the boy film star who had a miraculous escape from death, a fate which overlook the other occupants of the car. Jackle was injured; though not seriously.
Jackie's father, John Coogan, the young film star Junior. Dur- kin, and Robert Horner bt Las Angeles were killed in the motor smash which occurred near Buck- man Springs.
Coogan's car crashed into the tock's and somersaulted four times before it came to rest. The occupants were thrown out vio lently and killed on the spot.
Jackle was fortunate in that be Was pinned beneath the wreckage of the car. After de was extricated he declared that an identified car forced them off the road- Reuser.
