For Royal Jubilee Celebrations
London, Apr 23. More than two thousand local authorities in Britain are com pleting the preparations for next month's Silver Jubilee celebrations, In most cases local counel's have voted funds for decorations and illuminations. Bondres, processions and treats for the young and old. In addition to thanksgiving services are. to be features common to most local celebrations.
It is certain that the major spectacles including the royal pro- cessions and the processional drives will bring unprecedented numbers of sightseers to Dondon and the most elaborate arrangements have been made for the orderly stand- ing of the crowds,
All along the routes of the main processions, platforms have now been erected on every available site and pylons draped in blue and gold and surmounted by royal emblems, have been erected.
Elsewhere schemes for the de- corations of streets and buildings are being rapidly advanced.
Among the distinguished visitors to London for the occasion the Dominion Prime Ministers will take
prominent place. The Prime Minister of Australia is already bere. Mr. R. B. Bennett, Prime Minister of Canada, General Hertzog (Bouth Africa) and Mr. G. W. Forbes (New Zealand) will ar- rive within the next few days. Some of the many Indian rulers who will take part in London have already arrived and others are on their way to England.- British Wireless.
