The Portuguese Company of the Hong Kong Volunteer De- tence Corps held their Annual Dinner and Dance at the Club Lusitano, last night and the function was a thorough success in" every way.

Capt. S. Jarvis, the Company Commander, in his speech stressed the fact that the Corps had increased from 92 to 131 members during his absence and that the work of the Recruits had been in every way satisfactory.
