Miss Harding got her start with the Provincetown Players, a Little. Theatre group, she applied for an atmosphere bit and was given the lead in her first play. From that beginning, she progressed rapidly to Broadway and film stardom.

Current Attraction At The Queen's
A tense and exciting screen drama of love and law is being screened at the Queen's Theatre under the title, "The Line-Up." This Columbia film is not the regular, run-of-the-mill gangster- underworld story but rather con- cerns itself with the growth of racketeering as a gigantic and powerful social parasite.

"Private Scandals"
an adroitly
"Private Scandal "I produced murder mystery-comedy that depends upon speed and cleverness rather than horror for its afectiveness, is cuning to the Alhambra Theatre on Sunday.
Featuring Marion Nixon and William Gargan in the two main leads, the picture, briefly, tells the story of the fur-snatching racket, Miss Nixon is seen as a check- room attendant in a large metro- politan hotel who is implicated in the robbery of a valuable fur coat entrusted to her care, Gargan, as the detective assigned to the case, prevalls upon his superior to allow the girl her freedom in an attempt to apprehend the real criminals behind the racket.
How Gargan finally succeeds in rounding up the ring, but only after a series of harrowing : ex- periences, makes for gripping romance and drama blended into one. He acquits himself.creditably in a difficult role Nixon as the victimized hotel em- ployee.
The cast is composed of Zasu Fitts, Phillips Holmes, Mary Brian, Ned Sparks and Lew Cody, with Olive Telt, Jed Pronty, Char lea B. Middleton, Rolis Lloyd and Hale Hamilton heading the sup- porting players.
The filia was produced by Chai- les R. Rogers for Paramount, and Ralph Murphy, who directed last season's 70.000 Witnesses "hand- led the megaphone,
The original story was written by Vera Caspary and Bruce Man ning, while Garrett Fort, noted short story writer, is resposible for the screen play.
The story raises the "murder suicide queation when Lew Cody is found dead in his real estate office. Caught in the market crash in which he loans investors' funds, he realizes that the only way out is suicide, inaking it appear like murder so that his insurance policies can re- pay the investors.
To Ned Sparks, sour-faced detec tive, is given the task of unravell- ing a complex tangle of alues that first point to suicide, then turn to a hitherto unsuspected plot against Cody's life. When Sparks begins unravelling the mystery, countless obstacles are placed in his path; he finds each member of the office staff lying to avoid, exposing w "private scandal." Yet, through these lies, he finds the answer to the mystery

The Greeks Had A Word For Them
Fresh from its record run upon the Broadway stage, "The Greeks Had a Word for Them," Bamuel Goldwyn's film version of the Zoe Akins play comes to the Star Theatre to-day, with Ina Claire, Jann Blondell and Madge Evans portraying the roles of Them!”
No expense has been spared by Mr. Goldwyn to bring this United Artists production to the screen.
The story was photographed chronologically, which means that it was "shot" as written by the author, instead of being pictured hindside foremost, as has been the custom from time immemorial in Hollywood."
What the Word" Is From the beginning even from the beginning of the stage run- questions have arisen as to what it was the Creeks bad, a word for. Fans will learn now that the word is "hetaera," meaning the loose. In fact,
