With the marines band playing in the barracks square, the Commodore's pennant and White Ensign flying in the main flagstaff, over thirty officers of high rank were sum- moned to attend three Courts Martial. A special guard of marines and saliers posted at the entrance to the Courts Martial room presented arms as each Admiral arrived.
