Lorry Driver Charged With Manslaughter

Arising out of the tragic motor, acoldent on Island Road on the afternoon of January 29 when eight persons wore sex- iously injured, three of whom subquently died. It is with no little regret that' we have to announce the demise of Mr. J. A. E. Cassumbboy which occured at an early hour on Mon- day morning.

The deceased had been alling for the last three weeks and only a few days ago his sickness was diagnosed as typhoid and he was immediatedly rushed to the French Hospital where he died two days after admittance suffering from a bad relapse
