Arsenal, Sunderland And
Manchester City Draw
The three leading teams in the First Division, Arsenal, San- derland and Manchester City could only manage to take a point each on Saturday's games. At the other end of the table Leeds," Wolves, Spurs, Birmingham and Leicester are having a very keon struggle to avoid relegation.
In the Second Division Bolton and Brentford won at home "as expected but West Ham had to accept defeat at Newcastle.
Charlton, Reading and Watford of the Southern section, Third Division won. Tranmere of the Northern section lost "two value · able points at Walsall, while Doncaster took two points away from Chester" to come up on the table a point behind the leaders with two games in hand.
In the Third Round of the Scottish Cup Rangers, Airdrie, St. Johnstone and Hamilton are through to the Fourth Round where Motherwell and Celtie are awaiting them via byes.

Dublin, Feb. 23.
A crowd of 35,000 attended the International rugger match, which, ended in Ireland defeating Scot- land by 13 points to 5. The wen- ther was showery.

Playing brilliantly in the loose. Ireland fully deserved their victory after one of "the flierlest - and fastest rugby games seen in the International series for many years.

O'Connor opened the scoring for Ireland with a try which Ridgeway falled to convert. From the kick- off Scotland retallated and Shaw executed a brilliant run to bring the scores level, and Fyke con- verted to give Scotland, the lead at the Interval.
In the second half the Scottish passing attempts were promptly checked and Ireland maintained the pressure.
