Passelaine is a material which has a darning stitch interwoven in bright colours on a colourless ground. For the spring there are woollen crepes, and for the sum mer cotton and linen crepes. Many of the wool and cotton ma- terials are pebbly to the touch; others are smooth, like suede, such as Vrille-spot Pitchoun, a rough crepe, and Ormaz, a loosely woven woollen crepe, are two summer materials which British buyers have chosen.
