The reply opens by stating that the German Government is at one with the British and French Gov- ernments in their sincere desire to promote peace whose préserva- tion is as much in the interest of Germany's security as it is in the Interest of security of other Euro- pean States. Hence the German Government welcomes the spirit. of trustful discussion between in- dividual, governments which Ands expression in the communications of the British and French Govern- ments.
