Approximately one-quarter of the world's output of ships and nearly one-half that of the United Kingdom was launched
on the Clyde last year. The number of ships launched was 67, with an aggregate tonnage of 288,121 tons, ···
There was a considerable ac- cession of new work towards the close of the year. In December contracts placed represented total of 27,000 tons, so that 1935 opens auspiciously.
Six firms are back on the out- nut tables which in 1933 made no return at all One of these firms made a return of seven vessels, totalling 22,152 tons.
