The spread of the clan spirit and ta value in knitting members of a clan together, in whatever part of the world they might be was alluded to in various speeches at the Clan Mackay Society annual dinner, held in the Balmoral Reg- taurant.
Lord Mackay president of the society (who was accompanied by Lady Mackay), occupied the chair, and others present included the Chlef of the clan, the Right Hon. Aeneas Alexander Mackay (13th Baron Reay of Reay and Baron D'Ophemert, Holland), Mr. Francis. J. Grant (Lord Lyon King of Arms), Mr. Donald Mackay (of the Scottish Land Court), Dr. George Mackay, Cap

The toast of "Clan Mackay" was proposed by Mr. F. J. Grant, who gave an account of the history of the clan from the earliest times. :
