London, Dec. 15. Starting with oil tanks full and steaming at economical speed, our new destroyers are capable of making a non-stop ha of 6,000

miles.

This is nearly four times greater than the crusing range of our war- time destroyers, which were only same 400 tons smaller than. the new craft.

COMMANDER MOTT RETIRED

Lieutenant-Commander F. C. Mott, who has retired voluntarily with the rank of commander, was commissioned as mate in June, 1918, and up to 1925 he served in submarines. His ships Included J 2 in the Australian Navy and H 30 at Portland.
