IMPROVING THE

HANDS

Our hands need exercise just - as much as the other parts of our body, and the trouble is that they very seldom get, the right exercise. They are either made to do housework, play games, or pound on a typewriter, and the exercise they derive from any of these occupations does not tend to improve them. When you are on holiday, however, you will be able to let your hands have a holiday, too, and time to give them a beauty treatment.

Beauty Exercises

Give them the following exer- cises night and morning.

Begin by relaxing the hands completely, hold them out in front of the body, and then bend the elbows slightly, allowing the hands to hang from the wrist. Then wring the hands, allowing the fingers to. Hy about if any direction,.

Next, hold the right hand up, palm facing you. Begin with the little anger, keeping all the fingers straight, bend the litle Anger until it touches the palm of the hand. Straighten it up and bend the third anger, and so on until you get to the thumb. You will feel the muscles in the back of your hand stretch de liciously.

And Massarp

Next, open the hands, close the fingers, and then open them and bend them as far back ́ ́an possible. Hold the hands up and finish up by playing imaginary five-finger, exercises in the air.

Do these exercises when you get up in the morning and again the last thing at hight after you have massaged your hands with planty of nourishing cold cream mized with a little almond oil. Remember to try and relax your hands, when you do to sleep at night and you
