PRODUCER OF TUNGSTEN
China's Unique
Position
London, Dec. 5. In connexion with the Chinese Government's agreement with Messrs. Arnhold and Company for the sale of tungsten. the "Finan cial News emphasizes China's unique position as a producer, giving her the greatest inquence on price situation in the world markets. Chinese production of wolfram is 40 per cent of the world's output and could easily be 60 per cent. Also Chinese coats of production are by far the cheapest. Burma is next with 30 per cent., and Bolivia, ten per centy is actively stimulating
production.
The PMS. is also becoming im- portant.
China alone is restricting output. This policy is less short-sighted than it appears as "the Chinese profit on sales of 25 to 30 per cent. should enable China to modernize and develop the bung- sten Industry at her leisure, The Chinese position is so unassailable that
It appears certain that Chinese influence in the tungsten market will become even more decisive than it is now.-
