In spite of ane batting display by E F. Westlake who scored 66 runs the Civil Service.. was unable to prevent the Indian Recreation Club from winning their second division league match by 5 wickets at Bookunpoo.
The Civil Service totalled 108 runs to which Westlake was the chief scorer, while the later bats- men falled miserably. A Baker and S. Abbas did all the damage, the former taking 4 wickets for 25 runs while the latter had 5 vic- tims for the same number of runs. The Indians passed the visiting team's total when they only lost five wickets. A. R. Suffiad was In good form with the bat, scor- ing 47 runs, while Barma and Kit chell helped with
